Preschool Room

The Preschool room has 24 children aged 3years – 5 years. In this room we have 3 early childhood educators (two of which are qualified teachers). In this room we run the Kindergarten program, which is the formal program offered for children in their year before beginning Prep and delivered by a 4 year university qualified teacher. We also run an indoor/outdoor program which gives children choice in their play and encourages them to be responsible thinkers guided by their own learning interests.

	Kimberley- Is the Teaching Director. Kimberley is in the Preschool room until 2pm each day and then leaves the room to take care of the management side of the Centre. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) and has been a staff member since 2005. Kimberley believes in creating beautiful environments for children and delivering a diverse educational program.
	Tash- Is the Group Leader in the room Wednesday through Friday. Tash also holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and began as a staff member back in 1988. Over the years Tash has left to go on maternity leave and to pursue other interests. She has been back in the Preschool room now since May of 2009. Tash’s love for singing and music is incorporated into the program with the children.
	Ana- Shares the role of Group Leader with Tash, working Monday and Tuesdays. Ana hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and has been a staff member since 2005. Ana is originally from Brazil so brings to the Centre some wonderful cultural experiences.
	Dianne- Holds the important role of Assistant in the Preschool room. Dianne has years of experience and has been a part of our team since 2005. Dianne completed her Certificate III in Child Care in 2003. She has a wonderful warm nature with the children and enjoys planning lot’s of creative activities with the children.
