The centre encourages children to respect the environment. We educate children by; • Children actively participating in our herb and vegetable garden • We use a worm farm and compost bin for fruit & vegetable waste from the centre • Staff empty water activities into garden beds • Staff soak children's art equipment before washing it ( wash in buckets rather than using running water) • Recycled paper is used for children’s art work • We include lifecycle’s of animals into our program • We educate children about caring for living things within their environment • Water education posters are erected in water areas • Staff use recycle bins
