Community Children's Services emerged in the mid 70's during a time of social change where society acknowledged the importance of combining quality care and education for young children while enabling families to take an active role in this process.
Community Children's Services are owned by community groups and organisations and are run as not-for-profit. Any operating surplus generated through Child Care fees goes directly back into the service. There are no owners or shareholders and all monies go home with your child each day through the resources provided and the ability and desire to employ qualified, professional and motivated staff.
Community Children's Services run independently of one another but come together with shared goals and a philosophy that is based on combining quality child care and education with a program that is based on understanding the needs of the child, the family, their culture and the community.
Our Goals
The goal of providing high quality care and education for young children in partnership with families and communities has never changed. Community Children's Services are for the children and their families - children, families, staff and management working as a team. Our profits are not measured in monetary terms but in the genuine relationships formed with families and in watching children develop to their full potential in an experience rich, nurturing and stimulating environment. |
